Kiss Fm and WBLS are merging at midnight tonight…I grew up recording them in the late 70’s and early/late 80’s on cassette tapes every summer I went to visit my family driving up from Texas in a family station wagon..I would then bring the cassettes back to San Antonio, having songs on these cassettes that NO ONE heard for several months because we lived in the COUNTRY, ON BLAST on my boom box and car stereo… I still have some of those recorded cassettes because they are classics! Red Alert, Chuck Chillout, Marley Marl…if you know you know..if you don’t know…you missed out on hip hop history!
